In the midst of this rush, we may not be able to fully observe some of our children's behaviors and we may arrive at wrong conclusions with a few observations we have made.
In recent years, one of the most common behavioral disorders in Turkey is hyperactivity and attention deficit. It is very important to distinguish between an undisciplined child and a hyperactive child. A child with attention deficit and hyperactivity problem will reveal this problem in every environment. On the other hand, undisciplined children will react differently in different environments and will want to use the conditions in their favor.
In children with hyperactivity and attention deficit, especially in pre-school (children between 0-5 years of age); Problems such as sleep disorder, eating or feeding problems, problems encountered in toilet training and accordingly bed wetting problems while asleep or awake, constipation, disobedience or not obeying domestic rules are frequently encountered problems.
There are basically 3 different forms of attention deficit and hyperactivity;
At first, they have a hard time concentrating, it can be very difficult for them to finish any job they have started, they avoid the day-to-day chores that are their responsibility. They often lose their belongings. They may forget the work to be done, they may be disorganized and disorganized in their work. They can be voracious and often switch from one job to the next. They are unplanned while studying and it is difficult for them to listen. They don't listen when the other person is talking, they can often get distracted by any stimulus, they can often make mistakes due to their carelessness.
In the second profile, there is more restlessness, they are constantly on the move, they act beyond their age, they are in situations such as running over the furniture in the house, leaving their head frequently while doing a job, starting to deal with other things. Their hands and feet are constantly fidgeting, they like to play with something in their hands. They find it difficult to participate in the activities to be done in the group, they often receive warnings from their surroundings due to their active nature.
The third is; there are mostly children who could not be detected before school age. It can be detected by the beginning of school, thanks to the dialogues of friends and teacher. It can be detected by subjects such as relative failure at school or frequent warnings from the teacher, inability to concentrate during the lesson, and learning difficulties.
These symptoms can be increased even more, the approach and guidance of the family is very important for the child. If you observe these and similar behaviors in your child, we recommend that you have a psychiatric examination.
